KPIA is well aware of the fact that many concerns are being raised due to the outbreak of Influenza A;
however, please be advised that KPIA will be holding APIC 2009 as scheduled.
There are many other international conferences/events taking place in Korea and other countries during the same period as APIC 2009, and as of now, none of them has announced any plan for delay or cancellation.

In addition, "WHO advises no restriction of regular travel or closure of borders " (WHO Influenza A (H1N1) - update 13, May 14, 2009)
Taking these facts into account, it seems that it will not be necessary to cancel or make any schedule changes for APIC 2009.
KPIA is currently monitoring the updates on the situation of influenza A infection and other international conferences and will inform the participants as soon as there be a situational change.

----------------------------Registration Cancellation Policy-----------------------------------
Penalty for registration cancellation was originally going to be charged starting from April 17,
but considering the current situation, cancellations made up until April 30 have been charged with no penalty.

Please be advised though that all cancellations of registration made from May 1st will be entitled to no refund.
------------------------Hotel Reservation Cancellation Policy---------------------------------
Cancellations made between April 17 and April 30 will incur penalty of one-night's charge, and cancellations made after May 1 will be charged with the penalty of the entire reservation period's charge.
